Mr. Envi’ Releases New Video, Rubber Checkz ft. La Chat, As He Gets Ready To Kickoff The Road Trip Tour

On the heals of his Road Trip Tour, Mr. Envi’ releases the first video from his soon to be released album, “Damage Kontrol”, “Rubber Checkz” ft La Chat. Shot in La Chat’s home town Memphis, TN, the song confronts the false perception of rappers with lots of money, cars and jewelry.

Mr. Envi’, who is the CEO of Southern Stisles Records, has been in the music industry as an independent artist for over 15 years, took the opportunity on this album to shed some light on the realities of the hip hop society of today versus what is being displayed to the public via videos, social media and other communication outlets.

With tracks such as “Keep It Real”, “Like Me” ft Young Bleed, “Somebody Lied” ft Lady Cam, “Got No Time”, and of course “Rubber Checkz”, it’s clear to see that Mr. Envi’ has seen a lot of misconceptions displayed in the world of hip hop and felt the need to clear up the discrepancies, while keeping your heads bobbing to some hard-hitting beats.

“I knew I wanted La Chat on the song from the first time I heard the beat. It reminded me of the Memphis sound that was made famous by La Chat and others greats from Memphis,” said Mr. Envi’ when asked about the song.

“I was lucky enough to catch up with La Chat as she was fresh off of a tour with Da Mafia 6ix and prepping for her long-awaited album “MURDER SHE SPOKE II”, which is now released and in stores.

Please take some time and check out the new video and if you get a chance catch Mr. Envi’ live, you will not be disappointed!!
